The award is in honour of Finbarr O’Driscoll, former president of the IMPACT trade union who worked tirelessly for workers rights and social justice. The Cork Health and Local Government Branch of FORSA is recognising the contribution of Finbarr though the establishment of this award, which we hope will strengthen links between the trade union movement and students with an interest in social justice.
