The UCC-Cork Singida Partnership is a long-standing charitable collaboration between University College Cork staff and Makiungu Hospital in Singida, Tanzania. UCC staff contribute financially through regular salary deductions. Established over 30 years ago, the partnership aims to support and improve healthcare services and population health in the Singida Region in Tanzania. While the initial focus of the project was on enhancing the quality of medical care provided by Makiungu Hospital, in recent years the focus has shifted to community health, including support for health centres and dispensaries in remote rural areas, support for the Faraja Hospice and Palliative Care Programme and for work addressing the problem of human trafficking. The Partnership is a registered charity. To pledge your support, please click on and complete the Payroll Authorisation Form (re Cork-Singida Partnership at UCC)
