Join the stakeholder community of the Mission Ocean Project PHAROS

12 May 2025

We invite you to connect with Pharos  (https://pharosproject.eu/  HORIZON-MISS-2023-OCEAN-01-03), a Mission Ocean project based on three key pillars: public mobilization, innovation and technology leadership, and valorisation and commercialization for the Blue Economy.

The Ireland Living Lab will be an open innovation hub where marine innovations will be developed in real-life environments through co-creation by PHAROS team and interested citizens, companies, associations, government agencies and researchers. In particular, we will explore nature based solutions, IMTA opportunities for algae production in conjunction with salmon aquaculture, climate change mitigation, marine biodiversity, and student education. Other activities include reduction of pollution from lost or discarded fishing gear, training of marine litter entrepreneurs, and the expansion of the Marine Protected Area Blueprint and Blue Schools Network in the Atlantic and Arctic basin. We also seek experts to support citizen science by assisting with marine species identification through the platform Minka ( https://minka-sdg.org/)

Register your interest to keep in touch with the Pharos Ireland Living Lab here (https://ec.europa.eu/eusurvey/runner/be3c43e6-b67f-6813-7309-357560196305)

If you identify any particular stakeholder (besides researchers) feel free to share with them or put us in contact with.
