Second Year Pharmacy Students visit Abbvie’s Solid Oral Dosage Facility, Cork

As part of 2^nd year PF2016 Pharmaceutical Technology Module, students visit Abbvie Solid Oral Dosage Facility, Cork.

The visit enabled students to experience the technologies associated with tablet and capsule oral dosage form manufacture and analysis in a commercial manufacturing setting. The visit facilitated students to relate theoretical aspects covered in lectures and laboratory sessions to commercial pharmaceutical production. The visit also provided students with an overview of Abbvie and the roles for graduate pharmacists within the Abbvie organisation.
