Dr Katie Ryan Presents at EUA Council for Doctoral Education Conference
Dr Katie Ryan, School of Pharmacy, University College Cork, presented at the EUA Council for Doctoral Education Annual Conference, hosted by the University of Galway, Ireland, on 18 June.
Her presentation, entitled “Collaborative Doctorates Driving Societal Impact: Doctoral Research at the School of Pharmacy, University College Cork,” highlighted how doctoral research at University College Cork uses collaborative models with healthcare, industry and public partners to address real‑world challenges. Case-studies highlighted that through workplace‑based PhDs, placements and collaboration, co‑creation with stakeholders shapes research, accelerates translation to policy and practice, builds innovation, supports skill development and enhances doctoral training.
