Annual Prize Giving Ceremony Celebrates Pharmacy Students' Successes

The School of Pharmacy, UCC held its annual Prize Giving Ceremony on 8 September 2025 as part of the School's annual Business Seminar, with faculty, sponsors, and visiting speakers gathering to recognise the hard work of 5th year pharmacy students.
Prizes were awarded for academic excellence in a variety of areas, including clinical pharmacy, pharmaceutics, pharmacology, and pharmaceutical chemistry. Representatives from PKF Brenson Lawlor (Thomas McDonald), Pharmaconex (Stephen Duggan), McCabes Pharmacy (Denis O’Driscoll and Lisa McCarroll), Uniphar (Shane O'Neill and Frank Olden), and Cloyne Pharmacy (Dermot Twomey, in absentia) joined staff from the School to present the awards. The School would like to warmly thank these representatives for their time and support, as their generosity makes these prizes possible.
The School would also like to congratulate all of its recipients on their well-deserved awards. Their achievements are a reflection of the School's commitment to providing its students with a world-class education.

In addition, raffle prizes sponsored by Uniphar brought further excitement to the event. The lucky winners were Mei McDonagh, Michelle Bradley, and Thomas Otway, who each took home a prize on the day.
