A Bright Beginning for Our New Pharmacy Students

The Pharmacy Building was buzzing with excitement this week as we officially welcomed the newest cohort of students to the School of Pharmacy in UCC. The new BPharm1 class kicked off their academic journey with a vibrant orientation session that set the tone for the year ahead. Strong emphasis was placed on the sense of belonging and opportunity within the programme and beyond.
Orientation featured a series of engaging talks from both staff and students covering a myriad of academic and student-experience related information. There was a keen focus on the supports available in the School and across the University.
We had a special guest presentation from Mr Frank Olden, Supervising Pharmacist with Uniphar and UCC Pharmacy Teaching Practitioner. He discussed his own career path and informed the class of Uniphar’s extensive operations both nationally and globally. Refreshments were kindly sponsored by Uniphar and provided an opportunity for the new group to mingle and get to know one another.
From inspiring stories to practical advice, students were given a warm and informative introduction to their new course. We wish them the very best. Go n-éirí go geal leo!
