School of Microbiology student recipient of David Latten Social Impact Award 2025

Breda Murphy has been recognised for her outstanding contribution to social impact in supply chain management through the prestigious David Latten Social Impact Award, funded by Logitech.
Breda Murphy (Biotechnology) is the winner of the 2025 Award. The award recognises leadership, community involvement, and commitment to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in supply chain management.
Established in July 2023 by the Logitech Cares Fund, a fund of the Tides Foundation, the award honours the legacy of David Latten, former Head of Global Indirect Procurement and Supplier Diversity at Logitech. David was widely respected for his commitment to making a difference every day and for being a passionate advocate of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) in supply chain management.
In alignment with David’s work with the Coalition for Gender Fair Procurement, the award celebrates students who demonstrate a deep understanding of equity in supply chains.
Breda’s achievement reflects the values David Latten championed and serve as an inspiration for future leaders in the pharmaceutical sciences and operations fields.
