Eight staff and six postgraduate students represented UCC at the European Congress of Radiology in Vienna, with a record programme of presentations, live research data collection at the EFRS Research Hub, and two hands-on workshops.

Prof Mark McEntee, Head of Discipline, steps up as incoming President of the European Federation of Radiographer Societies, as Dr Andrew England completes his year as Past President.

Six colleagues joined the Discipline during 2025, bringing clinical and research experience across diagnostic radiography, radiation therapy and medical physics.

The Discipline's Diagnostic Radiography and Radiation Therapy students graduated in December, and we look forward to following their careers.

MRI and mammography have been added to the MSc Medical Imaging and Radiation Science, delivered in partnership with BreastCheck Ireland and Belfast Trust.

Dr Clare Rainey has begun her tenure as Chair of the Society of Radiographers AI Advisory Board, and helped establish the EFRS Imaging Informatics Working Group.
