Testing Accessibility

There are multiple ways to check the accessibility and inclusivity of your content for everyone, including automatic tools and non-technical tests. You can also check mobile accessibility on Android Talkback and iPhone.

One quick way to check is by ensuring all interactive elements can be selected and activated using the keyboard:

  • Tab: Navigate to links and form controls.
  • Shift + Tab: Navigate backwards.
  • Spacebar: Activate checkboxes and buttons.
  • Enter: Activate links and buttons.
  • Arrow keys: Radio buttons, select/drop-down menus, sliders, tab panels, auto-complete, tree menus, and more.
  • Escape: Dismiss browser dialogs or menus.
