National Student Entrepreneur Awards 2025

Two UCC students were recognised at the 2025 National Student Entrepreneur Awards for their outstanding ventures. David Cashman won the Grant Thornton High Achieving Merit Award and €5,000 for The WellSchools Network and Sean O’Sullivan received the Local Enterprise Office High Achieving Merit Award, also with €5,000, for his innovative product Lion’s Reign.
We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievements of UCC students at this year’s National Student Entrepreneur Awards:
Grant Thornton High Achieving Merit Award

David Cashman, founder of The WellSchools Network, was awarded this prestigious accolade and a €5,000 prize. His venture, which supports wellbeing and behaviour in schools, has already made significant national impact through UCC’s IGNITE programme.
Local Enterprise Office High Achieving Merit Award

Sean O’Sullivan received this award, along with €5,000, in recognition of his innovative product, Lion’s Reign.
