MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships

The Department of French at University College Cork (UCC), Ireland will welcome the chance to support suitably qualified candidates wishing to apply for the upcoming Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA) with UCC as host organisation (call opening 9 April).

MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships enhance the creative and innovative potential of researchers holding a PhD and who wish to acquire new skills through advanced training, international, interdisciplinary and inter-sectoral mobility. MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships will be open to excellent researchers of any nationality.

UCC’s French Department offers expertise in the following areas:

  • Modern and contemporary French philosophy, theory and thought (including radical political theory, psychoanalysis and postcolonial theory)
  • Francophone colonial and postcolonial studies (Africa and the Caribbean)
  • Second language acquisition and Sociolinguistics
  • Translation Studies (including audiovisual translation)
  • Queer theory and queer studies
  • The Medical and Psychedelic Humanities

Indicative timeline for the applications:

  • 9 April 2026: launch of the call for proposals (TBC)
  • 9 September 2026: deadline for submitting proposals (TBC)
  • February 2027: notification of call results to applicants (TBC)
  • April 2027: grant agreement signature for successful projects (TBC)
  • May 2027: first EU-funded projects start (TBC)
