UCC Engineering Project Open Day

UCC's Engineering Final Year Project Open Day is held every year in March. The event showcases the final year research projects of Energy Engineering and Electrical Engineering students and is attended by industry representatives, as well as staff and students from all departments of UCC. The event is open to the public (registration is required).

Last year's list of Energy Engineering projects included:

• A simulation of wind farm with virtual reality visualisation
• A co-ordinated system for controlling several renewable generators on a micro-grid
• A wave energy turbine based on an oscillating water column
• Optimisation of recharging schedules for electric vehicles
