Paediatric Diabetes Academy November 23rd 2024

Cork University Dental School and Hospital (CUDSH) were delighted to attend the Glucose Gala and launch of the Paediatric Diabetes Academy on Saturday November 23rd.
The Academy was developed by the paediatric diabetes multidisciplinary team in Cork University Hospital (CUH), with funding from the Toy Show Appeal and the CUH Charity. The Glucose Gala was an amazing opportunity to showcase educational videos produced by young people, their families and the paediatric multidisciplinary team, to support others on their journey, as they learn to manage diabetes whilst also living life to the full.
Staff from CUDSH, Oral Health Services Research Centre and School of Public Health (Dr Shaikha Al-Marhubi, Ms Julia Banasiak, Prof Máiréad Harding, Dr Rose Kingston, Dr Siobhán Lucey and Dr Maeve O’Farrell) shared their knowledge of oral health and paediatric diabetes, current research being undertaken in CUDSH on oral health and paediatric diabetes.
