Congratulations to Prof. Suzanne Timmons, Dr. Emma O'Shea, Dr. Caroline Kilty, Ms. Mary Faherty all of CGR who attended the 73rd Annual and Scientific Meeting of the Irish Gerontological Society (IGS), which took place from October 1–3, 2026, at the Rochestown Park Hotel here in Cork.

We will share additional photos of this proud event in subsequent posts, but will begin with the following.

Sarah Fitzgibbon, MSc. graduate is picture presenting a poster entitled 'Stakeholder Experiences of an Ambulatory Outreach Team within the Integrated Care Programme for Older Persons (ICPOP) Service in Ireland: A Qualitative study'. This was co-authored with Dr. Emma O'Shea and Ms. Lauren O'Mahony.

Ms. Mary Faherty is pictured below, presenting a poster entitled 'Online climate change micro-credentials for health and social care workers in older person services are acceptable, effective and skills-building'. This was co-authored by Ms. Lorna Kenny and Prof. Suzanne Timmons.
