Women in Leadership Series continues in 2023

The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of ESB, Marguerite Sayers, joined Professor Ciara Heavin, Department of Business Information Systems, Cork University Business School in conversation for the third event of the College of Business and Law’s Women in Leadership continuing series.

Marguerite Sayers, a UCC alumna with a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, has worked with ESB since graduation holding leadership positions, and in July 2022 was appointed its Deputy CEO. In May 2019, she became the 127th President of Engineers Ireland in May 2019, the fourth woman to hold this position.

Head of College Professor Ursula Kilkelly welcomed guests to the event, which was held in the Dr Dora Allman Room of the Student HUB, and co-hosted by Professor Sarah Culloty, Head, College of Science, Engineering and Food Science.

The Women in Leadership series is an initiative led by Professor Kilkelly and involves conversations with women in public life exploring their experiences and impact. The series hopes to inspire others in their paths to leadership.
