The 38th Irish Accounting & Finance Association Annual Conference and Doctoral Colloquium will be hosted at University College Cork from the 10th to 12th June 2026.

The Doctoral Colloquium will take place on Wednesday 10 June, and the Conference on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 June.

We have an excellent line up of guest speakers, including:
Conference keynote: Prof David Bedford (University of Technology, Sydney)

Plenary from Practice: Mr Tony Murphy, President of the European Court of Auditors
Doctoral colloquium keynote: Prof Brendan O’Dwyer (University of Amsterdam / University of Manchester)
EAA speaker: Dr Angela Pettinicchio (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore)

The submission process is now closed. 

The conference will take place in the Western Gateway Building, Western Road  with the conference dinner in the Aula Maxima, Main Campus.

Call for Conference Submissions
The call for conference submissions is now closed.

Decisions on acceptances of papers will be communicated by 24 April 2026.

Accepted papers will only be included on the conference schedule where registration and payment has been received from at least one author by 15 May 2026. Final submissions will be due by the 15 May 2026 and can be one of two types:

  1. Full papers
  2. Emerging papers

A full paper is the recommended submission, however in the spirit of the IAFA Annual Conference being a venue where early-stage research projects are welcome, emerging papers are also accepted for presentation. An emerging paper is expected to be in the range of 1,500–3,000 (excluding abstract, tables, figures and references) and should include the following:

  • A clear research objective
  • A review of key and/or relevant literature
  • Comment on methods and/or theoretical lenses relevant (or which may be relevant) to the subject of study
  • An outline of any initial findings (optional)
