Trish is the School Manager of Cork University Business School and works with the Dean and senior management to drive the strategic development of the School. She provides leadership and management to professional staff and support services within the School, to ensure students experience an exceptional level of service. Trish has over 20 years’ experience within the University sector, and has highly developed leadership skills and extensive experience which enables her to foster a collaborative environment focusing on both student success and staff development. Trish is a proud UCC alumnus and holds an MBA and a Higher Diploma in Coaching Psychology.
Mairead O'Flynn
As the EU Postgrad Recruitment Coordinator at CUBS, Mairead plays a pivotal role in raising awareness about the postgraduate programs offered by CUBS. She assists students in navigating the selection process for their master's degrees while simultaneously in partnership with the Marketing dept. creates engagement strategies to enhance visibility among both domestic and EU student populations. Mairead brings a diverse educational background to her role, holding a Bachelor of Science in Computing and Entrepreneurial Studies from MTU, as well as a postgraduate Certificate in Leadership and Change Management from the University of Sunderland. Beyond her professional endeavours, Mairead is a mother to a spirited and independent daughter, as well as a pet owner to a horse and three dogs. She cherishes her family life, which includes her supportive husband, who always finds himself mentioned last.
Thomas McCarthy
Thomas McCarthy is the Marketing and Communications Manager at Cork University Business School. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from UCC and a Master's in Marketing from University College Dublin (UCD). With previous experience in marketing and communications roles at BDO, Vodafone Ireland, and MS Ireland, Thomas is responsible for overseeing all marketing and communications activities at CUBS.
Jennifer Cunnigham
Jennifer Cunningham, an alumnus of Munster Technological University, holds an honours degree in Business Management with a focus on Human Resources. She has extensive experience in academic administration and is currently the Personal Assistant to the interim Dean of Cork Univeristy Business School. In her current role, Jennifer provides critical support to the Dean, manages complex administrative tasks and ensures the smooth operation of the Dean's office.
Clare Daly
Clare’s role is the Year Abroad Coordinator for the BSC in International Business with Languages, in addition to supporting our Vice Dean of Internationalisation and External Engagement, and the Vice Dean for Learning and Teaching. Clare has worked in a variety of roles across UCC since 2007. She began her career in the Mature Student Office providing both pre and post entry support to students. She subsequently spent five years managing the curriculum approval process, while being an active participant in a number of high level University wide change processes, including semesterisation. Her most recent role was in Student Counselling and Development, where she worked in a busy student facing office, while supporting a team of 18 counsellors. Over the summer of 2022 Clare went on a 6-month secondment to the National Student and Researcher Helpdesk, a DFHERIS project to facilitate admission to all HEIs for applicants from Ukraine. Prior to UCC, Clare worked internationally for 10 years, mostly in Europe. She has a BA in Russian and Sociology from TCD, and speaks French and some German.
Tarik El Amoud
Tarik El Amoud is the International Recruitment Manager at CUBS. He has extensive experience in international student recruitment, business development, sales, project management, and customer services. Tarik holds a Bachelor's degree in Tourism from the University of Granada and a Postgraduate Diploma in Innovation through Design Thinking from CUBS. In his role, he focuses on driving international student engagement and expanding CUBS' global reach.
Sinead Hackett
Sinead is the Student Engagement Manager and a member of the professional services of the university for 30 years. Her background is in the Human Resources area, working as the manager of the Pensions Unit of UCC for over 21 years, completing the Irish Institute of Pension Manager exams during that time, and managing the day to day operations of the in-house pension schemes for over 3,000 staff and 1,000+ retired staff. She moved to CUBS in 2016, initially working in the Business Information Systems (BIS) Department for 5 years as Departmental Administrator, managing the staffing, HR, finances and core/research budgets for the department. Due to the restructure of the CUBS professional staff in 2021, Sinéad initially held a dual role of CUBS Programme Governance Manager (for 12 months) with her current Student Engagement Manager role. Sinéad initially was tasked with development of professional programmes for the CUBS Dean's Scholars List and the Leaders of Tomorrow. Since 2021, there has been a focus on concept development, management and rollout of a broad selection of student group touchpoints with student societies, class reps, undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD scholars on various once-off/event series encompassing personal/professional development with an underlying ethos of inclusion, diversity and belonging.
My role in CUBS School Office involves working on Health & Safety matters for CUBS, administration for CUBS Academic Development and Standards Committee, CUBS Board, CUBS External Advisory Board & CUBS AOL Committee. I have also worked on the organisation of the annual BComm Work Placement Awards event. I have a background in healthcare sciences and have been working in the education management industry for many years with qualifications in Lean 6 Sigma, Applied Health Sciences and a digital badge from UCC for First Steps into Management. siobhan.hackett@ucc.ie

Roisin is the postgraduate programmes manager at CUBS. Roisin holds a B.Comm International with French from UCC, a first class honours MSc Marketing from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School and a PG Cert in Professional Practice and Leadership in Higher Education from UCC. With twenty year's experience in Higher Education particularly Business School operations and management, her skillset includes, Student Recruitment, Marketing, Accreditation and Programme Management.

Katherine is the postgraduate administrator for 4 Accounting and Finance Programmes. Katherine moved to Cork from the UK in 2016 and before joining CUBS in 2020 Katherine worked in the HSE. She has a bachelor’s degree in English and Creative Writing.
Senan Enkso
Senan is the Executive Education Manager in the College of Business & Law. Based in the UCC Centre for Executive Education in Cork city centre, he is also the programme manager for the UCC Executive MBA. Graduated from UCD with a MA in Modern History and a postgraduate Diploma in Arts Administration, worked as a researcher with the Clare Heritage and Genealogical Centre, before moving on to Dublin City University where he was the administrator for the University’s student work placement programme.

Gerard Horgan
Gerard commenced employment with UCC in the Quality Promotion Unit in 2005 and moved to the Department of Management & Marketing in 2007 to gain experience operating in an academic department. In 2021, Gerard moved to the new post of programme administrator within the postgraduate programmes team where he is responsible for the administration of the MSc Management and Marketing, the MSc Marketing and the MSc in Banking and Risk Management. More recently Gerard took on additional administrative responsibility for the MSc Design & Development of Digital Business. In terms of education, Gerard has a Postgraduate Certificate in Project Management (2018), from University College Cork, an MA in International Studies (First Class Honours) (2003) from University of Limerick, a Diploma in French (1998), from Cavilam Language Institute, France and a Bachelor of Arts (Joint Honours) in History & Sociology (1997) from University College Cork. In relation to UCC staff awards, Gerard received the Outstanding Colleague Award (2017) from UCC President, Professor Patrick G. O’Shea, an individual UCC Hero Award, (2020), an initiative that sought to highlight university staff who made an exceptional contribution in UCC during the Covid-19 crisis and finally was a member of a team who received a College of Business & Law ‘Heroes Team Award’ (2021), which recognised the tremendous efforts made by administrative staff again during the Covid crisis and the restructuring of the business school.

I work front of house in the UCC Centre For Executive Education. Here we house the UCC Executive MBA; Masters level programmes from CUBS and Executive Education programmes from the IMI (Irish Management Institute); including Professional Diplomas, Short Programmes and Customised Solutions. Graduating with a Diploma in Boradcasting & Journalism, I spent a number of years working in radio in Dublin. On moving back to Cork I took up a position in UCC as well as still maintaining work in radio on the side.

Shannon Sweeney
Shannon began in UCC as an executive assistant with the department of Business Information Systems in 2018. In 2022, Shannon moved into the new position of programme administrator on the CUBS Postgraduate Team and is responsible for the MSc Business Analytics, MSc Design and Development of Digital Business and MSc Information Systems for Business Performance.
Vera is a Department Administrator in the Department of Accounting and Finance. She commenced employment with UCC in 2016 and has worked in Accounting and Finance from commencement of employment.
Niamh Kiely
Niamh Kiely is the department administrator in the Department of Food Business and Development since June 2021. Niamh has been working in UCC for the last 26 years. Niamh’s current role is managing the department’s finances, HR issues, staffing and PhD students. Prior to Niamh’s appointment as department administrator Niamh, has 18 years programme administrator experience at undergraduate and postgraduate programme level; 5 years’ experience working in the Faculty of Commerce Office and experience working in Central Administration in the Registrar’s Office. Niamh has an honours degree in Human Resource Management from Cork Institute of Technology. Niamh updates her skills and knowledge by attending Training and Development Courses which are delivered by HR and IMI as well as updating her IT skills on UCC’s IT programmes. Niamh obtained a digital badge in “First Steps into Management” and “Continuing Steps into Management”.
Yvonne Sheirdan
Yvonne Sheridan is the Administrative Assistant for the Department of Accounting and Finance. Her role involves supporting the Head of Department with the day-to-day operation of the Department and she is also responsible for the coordination and supervision of all its administrative functions. Yvonne has worked in the Department of Accounting and Finance since 2018 and previously held the position of Programme Administrator within the Department before her appointment to this role.

Eithne Hurley is the Administrative Assistant for the Department of Economics. In her role she is responsible for the management of all administrative functions, and she supports the Head of Department in all day-to-day operations. Previously Eithne worked as the Resources Administrator in the department having taken up the role in Economics in 2015.

Fiona is the departmental administrator for the department of Managment and Marketing. She has 17 years senior administration experience, 10 years in financial services and 7 years in higher education. Highly Organized, adaptable, energetic and ideas orientated with 8 years supervising and supporting a team. Holds a BSc in Business Adminstration and a Professional Certificate in Financial Services.
Maggie Sheehan
Maggie studied Tourism Business Management in MTU, graduating in 2020 I then went to work in Industry in areas, such as retail,customer service and industry including administration experience.
Jeff is the Senior Systems Administrator, overseeing essential technical operations. Along with the Technical Operations manager, I over see a small team. We focus on ensuring smooth service delivery and support, Maintaining the CUBS Lab infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, manage relationships, and stay updated on emerging technologies. My role currently involves guiding the transition to a BYOD infrastructure and optimizing cloud-based services, contributing to the enhancement of CUBS' IT capabilities. Bio: With a background in IT operations, Jeff has had the privilege of serving in various roles, including Senior Field services Engineer at United Health Group in the US, no. 6 in the Fortune 500, IT Manager at Rockwell Engineering and Assistant IT Manager at Fota Island Resort and Kingsley hotels. My experiences across these different industries have provided me with valuable insights into IT management, which I now apply to support the technological needs of CUBS.
Stephanie is a third space professional active across administration , management and teaching, to support undergraduate students embark on their career. Stephanie manages and administates a large undergraduate placement programme for the BSc Business Information Systems within CUBS. She coordinates and teaches on the professional development curriculum with the programme and contributes to the development of this curriculum using the lens of career theory and development. Stephanie is a qualified careers guidance practitioner in addition to having qualifications in Learning and Teaching. She has a UG degree in History, Politics and Archaeology followed by an MA in Medieval Irish History. Stephanie is a member of the Institute of Guidance Counsellors and the Career Development Institute.
Patricia is Accreditations & Quality Manager having joined CUBS\UCC in 2015, taking up the current appointment of Accreditations & Quality Manager in 2019. Patricia’s role in CUBS has involved delivering on a number of strategic projects, working with the leadership team and developing strong co-operative relationships with colleagues across the school. Prior to joining CUBS\UCC, Patricia held a senior management role in Mater Private Cork with responsibility for the professional services function and delivering on strategic objectives across new service delivery and cash flow optimization. Patricia has experience in managing cross-functional relationships and leading teams to ensure operational goals are delivered efficiently while maintaining quality standards. Patricia has an MBS in Business Practice is an Accounting Technician, holds CAPM Certification, a Cert in Designing Innovative Services and has completed the Aurora Women in Leadership Programme. Patricia is a member of UKIAG, a network of Irish and UK Business Schools working collaboratively on accreditation.
