UCC Confucius Institute Teachers participate in St. Patricks day parade

On March 17th the University College Cork CI was invited by the city government to march alongside members of the local community in the city’s St. Patricks Day parade.
All UCC’s CI teachers were delighted to receive this special honour on our host county’s national holiday
Tai chi, kung fu, dragon dancing and a performance of waist drums were all on display, receiving huge support and applause from the gathered crowds of spectators.
The parade and celebrations were an amazing opportunity to promote our Chinese arts and culture, while strengthening the bonds between China, Cork City and Ireland as a whole.
The UCC CI was excited to take part in Irelands special day and is already looking forward to next years parade!
