Students Have a Ball at Confucius Institute Easter Camp
From March 27th to 4th April 2018,108 TY students from schools in Cork, Maynooth, Galway, Limerick and Waterford attended the CI Chinese Language Easter Camp held by Hanban in cooperation with Shanghai University.
During March in Shanghai, the sun is shining and the city is filled with life. In order to give students the best experience and deepest possible understanding of Chinese culture, the Confucius Institute carefully planned a fun and educational program. Not only were the students provided with a rich cultural experience during calligraphy, Taiji and language classes, but were also treated to sightseeing tours in Shanghai and the surrounding cities of Hangzhou and Suzhou.
We are delighted to say that this trip opened the students’ eyes to China’s unique and fascinating culture while our CI teachers were also impressed and encouraged by the students’ courage to try new experiences. Together, they strengthened the bonds between China and Ireland, today and into the future!
