On behalf of University College Cork, I am delighted to invite you to a conference in UCC Library to mark
Recording the Past: The Annals of Inisfallen and the Making of Irish History exhibition.
The Annals of Inisfallen manuscript is an important surviving record of medieval Ireland containing accounts of kings, monasteries, battles, floods, plagues and much more across Munster. The manuscript is on loan from the Bodleian Libraries, University of Oxford.

The conference marks a special opportunity to bring together Kerry friends and colleagues scholars and the wider public to explore the significance of the Annals of Inisfallen, a remarkable record of medieval Ireland that offers unique insights into the history of Kerry, Munster and Ireland as a whole.

The manuscript is available to view in the Glucksman from 2 September to 1 November 2026. There is a programme of events to complement the exhibition. Further details will be available on the Glucksman website shortly.
