A Global Community
There are over 220,000 UCC alumni around the world. To help you stay in touch with one another, and with UCC, we are building a network of International Alumni Leaders. International Alumni Leaders volunteer either individually or as part of a committee. They are the primary point of contact for UCC, and for other alumni, in the areas in which they are based. They collaborate closely with the Advancement Office, providing a social and professional network for their communities and assisting UCC in the organisation of events and activities for alumni. With alumni based in almost 200 countries, UCC’s International Alumni Leaders are ambassadors for UCC throughout the world.
Fly the Flag for UCC in your City or Region
If you are interested in volunteering for a role as an International Chapter Leader in your city or region, we will organise a call with you to tell you more about what is involved and will provide you with an application form. You can also read more about what is involved in our UCC International Alumni Leaders - Volunteer Handbook.
Establishing a UCC Alumni Club
The Volunteer Handbook explains the various types of networks that exist in different cities and regions. Under UCC’s Stakeholder Engagement Plan, it is envisaged that many current UCC Alumni Chapters will become UCC Alumni Clubs. UCC Alumni Clubs will be independent entities with responsibility for the management of Club finances, data and insurance. Documentation and guidance on establishing a UCC Alumni Club, including a template Constitution, will be provided to alumni groups.
Guidelines for International Alumni Leaders
The Volunteer Handbook for International Alumni Leaders provides a complete overview of what is involved in volunteering as an international representative. If you are planning an event or activity for an alumni group, the first step is to notify the Advancement Office. Please also download and complete the Events and Activities Risk Assessment template. This template must be submitted to the Advancement Office in advance of all events and activities organised by volunteers. Once complete, please email a copy to alumni@ucc.ie.
