Some of the country’s most promising researchers have showcased their initiatives and achievements at 'New Connections: The Impact', a special conference celebrating scientific collaboration in the College of Science, Engineering and Food Science, UCC.

Dr Niamh O'Mahoney, a UCC Chemistry graduate has received the Dr Garret Fitzgerald Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Higher Education Studies for a project on enhancing the learning experience of neurodiverse students in third level STEM education.  

New York based Conor Twomey, Managing Director, KX/FD Technologies is one of the alumni mentors participating in UCC's student mentoring programme. Conor graduated with a BSc in Financial Mathematics and Actuarial Science from UCC in 2008 and now shares his expertise with our students as part of UCC's alumni-led student mentoring initiative.
