Two Master of Architecture Graduates claim deserved prizes at the annual RIAI Conference

Mark Kennedy, a UCC PhD Student has been crowned victor of the Oxygen Zone as part of the "I'm a Scientist, Get Me Out of Here" Competition.  Mark has described his work as "...seeing what happens when some of the most energetic and destructive objects in the Universe (black holes and neutron stars) come close to stars like our own sun."

University College Cork (UCC) has become the third university in Ireland to receive the Bronze Athena SWAN award, recognising its efforts to promote gender equality in higher education.

On Saturday the 10th of December there was a small gathering at Enterprise House to mark the launch of the 4th edition of Irish Wild Mammals A Guide to the Literature by Pat Smiddy and Paddy Sleeman. 

Congratulations to Kevin Murphy, this year's worthy recipient of the Cunningham Award for his undergraduate mapping project carried out on the island of Kerrera.
