Thanks to our College of Science, Engineering and Food Science staff and students who participated in the Cork Carnival of Science recently. The event was held at Fitzgerald Park and featured family-friendly experiments, interactive activities, garden games, street cuisine and live demonstrations.

Cleaner Production Promotion Unit promotes 'Energy Citizenship'
16 Jun 2022The Cleaner Production Promotion Unit (CPPU) is driving change through research. A multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary research group based in UCC’s School of Engineering and Architecture, and in the Environmental Research Institute, CPPU conducts engaged research focused on the theme of society, sustainability and energy. Dr Niall Dunphy, Director, CPPU discusses the importance of ‘energy citizenship’ and how his team’s engaged research is helping to shape energy policy and practice.

Honorary Doctorate for Biochemistry graduate Dr Veronica Delaney
31 May 2022Dr Veronica Delaney, an inspirational leader in the field of medicine, has been awarded an honorary doctorate by UCC. Dr. Delaney graduated from UCC in 1964 with a BSc Honours majoring in Biochemistry.
