Embedding Academic Discourse Development into your discipline
Explore how to make academic discourse visible and accessible to all students, particularly international students.
This 90-minute workshop is offered online a number of times each year. Check this page for dates or contact the Language Centre to arrange a session.

Course Overview
Participants in this session will have the opportunity to explore the importance of making disciplinary academic discourse visible and accessible to all students.
This session aims to empower educators with the knowledge and tools needed to make academic discourse accessible, break down complexity in the classroom, and systematically integrate discourse development into their teaching programs. Participants will leave with practical strategies to enhance the learning experience for all students.

- how to break down academic discourse and types of activities that can be done in class.
- how to embed academic discourse development into your programme.
