Cambridge Exam Suite
The University Language Centre at University College Cork is an official examination centre for the Cambridge Suite of Examinations; Preliminary English Test (PET), First Certificate (FCE), Advanced (CAE), and Proficiency (CPE). The University Language Centre is an official Open Centre in the south of Ireland for all Cambridge examinations. Students from all over the world have taken the well-known Cambridge examinations at our Language Centre since 1991. We offer classes in preparation for these examinations. They are either intensive 20 hours per week, or extensive courses of 4 hours per week. All teachers are Cambridge oral examiners and can help you to reach your full potential. Evening Course for First Certificate and Advanced - The next Cambridge Preparations courses began in the second term of academic year 2011/2012 on January 9th. Please note, the March examination for the Cambridge Advanced is on March 31st, with closing date for applications on Friday 24th of February. Cambridge Proficiency Examination(CPE)Many of the students who have followed the Cambridge Proficiency course here at the Language Centre have achieved Grade A in their results. In recent examinations, all students have passed the exam, with Grade A being the most commonly achieved grade. CPE takes place two times a year at the Language Centre, in June and December. Next course begins on May 7th 2012 and runs for eight weeks, with class on Tuesday evenings from 6 - 9.
