Teacher Training (CELTA, DELTA and SQT)

The University Language Centre offers three teacher training courses, CELTA, DELTA and Certificate for the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language to Secondary Level Students (recognised by the Irish Dept. of Education). The CELTA course is aimed at those who may or may not have previous ELT teaching experience, while the DELTA is aimed at those who have a minimum of two years experience. These courses are prestigious, and very well recognised qualifications for teaching ELT worldwide. DELTA is offered in this academic year, 2011 - 2012, but will not be offered in 2012/13.
