Free English Lessons
Places are not available for this course. Enrolling for Autumn 2026 is closed.
(We will have an online course in the new year from 21 January to 25 March 2027.
The next course on campus will be in May 2027. Timetable TBC.)

Format
· Lessons delivered by trainee teachers currently doing one of these two courses: CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) or BAWL (BA World Languages), supervised by experienced UCC Language Centre staff.
· 36–40 hours of classes
· Levels: A2 (Pre-intermediate) B1 (Intermediate) and B2 (Upper-intermediate)
· Short online placement test before the course
· Classes scheduled in Irish time (days may vary)
· Letter of Attendance given to students with 80%+ attendance
· Requirements: computer/tablet/phone with camera & microphone, reliable internet, and a quiet study space

· If full, you’ll be placed on a waiting list and contacted when a place opens.
· Complete a short written test plus a grammar & vocabulary test as part of registration.
