Inaugural Liebherr Lecture - Spatial Perception for Mobile Robots

The first ever Liebherr Lecture, hosted by the School of Engineering and Engineers Ireland, Cork Region, was held on 14 March at UCC.

Dr Stefan Leutenegger, Imperial College London, delivered a talk on ‘Spatial Perception for Mobile Robots’. Mr Charlie McCarthy MD Liebherr Container Cranes also gave a presentation on the Liebherr Group. The event was attended by Professor Paul Ross, Head of College of SEFS, representatives from Liebherr and  Engineers Ireland, UCC staff, students and industry professionals. Dr Stefan Leutenegger is a Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London. He leads the Smart Robotics Lab, SRL, and co-leads the Dyson Robotics Lab. His main research interests are centred on autonomous robot navigation in potentially unknown, cluttered, and even dynamic environments.
