The CUBS Equal Futures Scholarship is designed to empower and support aspiring female leaders in the business world.

This scholarship offers a 50% fee waiver for women enrolling for the MSc in Business Analytics, MSc Business Economics, MSc Finance (Banking and Risk Management), MSc Finance (Investment and Asset Management), MSc Finance (Corporate Finance) providing them with the opportunity to enhance their skills, expand their networks, and drive innovation in their respective fields.
By investing in women's education, this scholarship aims to bridge the gender gap in leadership roles and foster a more inclusive and dynamic business
environment.

Eligibility criteria:

Entry requirements for the MSc Finance (Corporate Finance) 

  • A second-class honours grade I in a primary honours degree (NFQ, Level 8) or equivalent in a business programme or
  • The expectation of graduating with a second-class honours grade I in a primary honours degree (NFQ, Level 8) or equivalent in a business programme in the year of entry or

  • A second-class honours grade I in a primary honours degree (NFQ, Level 8) or equivalent in a cognate discipline with a quantitative element.

Entry requirements for MSc Finance (Investment and Asset Management)

  • Applicants must normally have a Second Class Honours Grade 1 in a primary honours degree (NFQ, Level 8) in: A business-related programme (e.g. Commerce, Law, Business Studies, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Information Systems etc.) or
  • A programme with a significant quantitative element (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Science, Computing etc.)

Entry requirement for MSc Finance (Banking and Risk Management)

  • The course is open to applicants with a second-class honours grade I in a primary honours degree (NFQ Level 8) or
    equivalent in a business subject or
  • Applicants with a second-class honours grade I or equivalent postgraduate qualification in a related subject with a quantitative element such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, science, etc.
  • Entry requirements for the MSc in Business Economics Minimum Second-Class Honours Grade II in a primary honours degree (NFQ Level 8)
    or equivalent. Note that there is NO requirement for Economics or Business subjects to be part of the primary degree

Entry requirements for the MSc in Business Analytics

  • Applicants must have a Second-Class Honours Grade 2 in a primary honours degree (NFQ, Level 8). The qualification must include one module in a quantitative area, for example, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or other Sciences.

Entry requirements for the MSc in Business Economics

  • Minimum Second Class Honours Grade II in a primary honours degree (NFQ Level 8) or equivalent. Note that there is NO requirement for Economics or Business subjects to be part of the primary degree.
  • Consideration under Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) will be given to applicants not meeting the above criteria (i.e. no primary degree) but with extensive relevant professional experience, as deemed appropriate by the Head of Economics in consultation with the Programme Director, subject to the approval of the School of Business.

Entry requirements for the MSc Information Systems for Business Performance:

  • The MSc in Information Systems for Business Performance is a conversion course designed for applicants who have not previously studied high levels of software development (e.g. Business Information Systems, Computer Science and Software Development) or who have not more than 2 years work experience in these fields. Applicants must hold a Second Class Honours Grade 2 in a primary honours degree (NFQ, Level 8).
  • Consideration under Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) may also be given to applicants who do not meet the above academic entry requirements.
  • Each application will be reviewed by programme directors and is subject to approval by the Head of relevant Discipline within the School of Business.

Eligible candidates must demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and a strong commitment to advancing women in business.

Entry criteria:
In addition to meeting the academic requirements of the programme the candidates must complete the application form (below) and to include a personal statement of no more than 750 words outlining how they have demonstrated leadership potential and a strong commitment to advancing women in business.
Personal Statement (Max 750 Words) Applicants must submit a personal statement of   no more than 750 words, addressing all four areas below. Statements that do not address all sections may be deemed incomplete. Applicants may draw on personal, academic, or professional experiences throughout their statement. Personal experiences are welcome where they demonstrate motivation, leadership, resilience, or impact.
