Cork University Business School offers a Cork University Business School Dean’s MBA Scholarship (50%), to cover 50% tuition fees for the recipient, for the 2025 – 2027 cycle of the UCC CUBS Executive MBA programme.

Value: 

The scholarship consists of 50% of tuition fees for the UCC CUBS Executive MBA 2025-2027 programme for one successful applicant.

Criteria: 

To be considered for the scholarships

  • The applicant must meet the entry threshold and other requirements for the UCC CUBS Executive MBA (course code CKL11), and
  • must make an application to the UCC CUBS Executive MBA via www.ucc.ie/en/apply/, and
  • To be considered for the scholarship the applicant must have received an offer and accepted a place on the UCC CUBS Executive MBA.

Apply: 

The applicant must also apply separately to the UCC CUBS Executive MBA Academic Director.

This scholarship application must include a short personal statement (of no more than 1000 words) including detailed

  • educational and career history to date.
  • examples of excellence in professional career and/or personal achievements,
  • an outline of future career ambitions with specific reference to the scholarship.
  • the reasons why the applicant would benefit from participation in the UCC CUBS Executive MBA with specific reference to why they would be a worthy recipient of the Scholarship.

In addition to the above the applicant must submit an up-to-date CV.

Deadline: 

The deadline for submission of the scholarship application to the Academic Directors is 5 p.m. Friday, 20th June 2025.

Selection and Interview: 

Applications to the Scholarship will be reviewed by the Dean of CUBS (or a nominee) and the MBA Academic Director. A shortlist of candidates will be drawn up following the closing date for applications, and these shortlisted applicants will be called for an interview with the Dean (or a nominee) and the Academic Directors.

Interviews are scheduled to take place on the week commencing 30th June, 2025.

The awardee will be the person who, in the opinion of the Dean (or a nominee) and the MBA Academic Director, can best evidence, thorough their written applications and interview performances, the benefit of their receiving the Scholarship.

The decisions of the Dean of CUBS (or a nominee) and/or the MBA Academic Director on the selection, interview and awarding process is final.

Note: Students withdrawing from, suspending, or repeating their studies, due to illness, bereavement or other exceptional circumstances will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

If any recipient of Cork University Business School Dean’s MBA Scholarship withdraws from the programme or fails to continue throughout the year to meet the attendance and other requirements for the programme including examination entry, they may be required to repay to the University the whole or part of the scholarship.
