Sydney V. Regan MA Scholarships

The Department of Music at UCC is pleased to offer three Sydney V. Regan Scholarships for the Taught Masters Programmes available in our Department (MA in Irish Traditional Music, MA in Music and Cultural History, MA in Experimental Sound Practice, and the MA in Ethnomusicology).
Terms and Conditions
Applications are invited from students who will commence a Taught Masters programme in Autumn 2025. Applicants should first apply through CRM Recruit (www.ucc.ie/apply) for the relevant programme. The award of the Scholarship is contingent on the student being accepted to the relevant Taught Masters programme.
As required by the terms of the Sydney V. Regan Bequest, to be eligible, applicants must have been born in Ireland, be of a parent who was born in Ireland or have been ordinarily resident in Ireland for at least ten years.
To apply, candidates should complete and submit the Sydney V. Regan MA Scholarships Application Form 2025/26 before the deadline of 5pm on Tuesday 15th July 2025.
Each award is worth €3000. Successful candidates will be responsible for the remaining tuition balance.
Applications will be assessed according to the following criteria:
(a) demonstrable excellence in research and/or creative practice
(b) ambitions for undertaking the selected taught MA programme
(c) financial need
