The UCCRSA is part of the International Consortium of Research Staff Associations (ICoRSA), which supports over 2000 researchers by facilitating communication across borders and sharing best practices. They focus on research and innovation, funding opportunities, global collaborations, and responsible research practices.

The Irish Research Staff Association (IrishRSA) represents salaried research staff in Ireland, including researchers within local Research Staff Associations, such as the UCCRSA, and individual researchers who lack representation through an RSA, and to advocate for their common interests at a National and International level in particular towards the goal of sustainable research careers.

The Irish Federation of University Teachers (IFUT; Gaeilge: Cónaidhm Éireannach na Múinteoirí Ollscoile) is a trade union representing university staff across Ireland. They represent many grades across our branches including Lecturers, Researchers, Tutors, Librarians and other grades.
