The UCC Staff Golfing Society continues to go from strength to strength, bringing colleagues together for memorable days on some of Cork’s most scenic courses. Recent outings have taken members to the beautiful fairways of Killarney, Kinsale, Blarney, Lee Valley, Mallow and Muskerry, each offering a unique challenge and a chance to unwind in good company. Thankfully, the weather also played its part staying bright and sunny for these special outings.

The highlight of the season was the President’s Prize in Monkstown, which proved to be a fantastic day out, capped off with an excellent meal and prize-giving. Prior to this, special credit also goes to the captain for organising the Captain’s Prize, another truly enjoyable event that showcased the spirit of the society. Thanks are also due to the many sponsors who make such occasions possible.
What makes the UCC Staff Golfing Society special is not just the golf, but the people. While no names are not mentioned here, it is safe to say the society is led by a dedicated group who ensure everyone feels welcome. Women golfers and newcomers in particular will find a supportive, inclusive environment where camaraderie is every bit as important as the competition.
Whether you are an experienced player or completely new to the game, there is a place for you in the society. And for members of the UCCRSA, there is a special joining rate, making it the perfect time to get involved. For more information or to join, please contact the UCC Staff Golfing Society. All are welcome!
