Global Virus Network Forefront of Virology Webinar featuring Nadia A. Sam-Agudu
The UCCRSA is happy to share with you that the Global Virus Network, in partnership with the University of South Florida, presents a webinar series featuring expert virologists from GVN Centers of Excellence. This session features Nadia A. Sam-Agudu, a distinguished physician, researcher, and a leading voice in global pediatrics, infectious diseases, and implementation science, who will discuss "Viruses without Borders: Global Health Research in Pandemic Responses." The webinar includes a 30-40 minute presentation followed by a 20-minute Q&A.

Dr. Nadia A. Sam-Agudu is a distinguished physician, researcher, and a leading voice in global pediatrics, infectious diseases, and implementation science. She's a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota Medical School and a Senior Technical Advisor for pediatric and adolescent HIV at the Institute of Human Virology Nigeria. Her career focuses on improving health in vulnerable populations, with groundbreaking research on HIV prevention and treatment in children and adolescents, and critical studies on emerging viral threats like mpox and SARS-CoV-2, particularly in African settings. Dr. Sam-Agudu is renowned for translating scientific evidence into practical solutions that impact patient care and public health policy, making her an exceptionally insightful and relevant speaker for this webinar on navigating viruses without borders.
