UCC recognising researcher contribution in grant proposals

Dear ARCS,

We would like to announce the first major success of the ARCS/ VP informal meeting sessions. The University Management Committee (UMT) have agreed to the proposal of naming researchers who contribute significantly on a grant to be named on Appendix A form.

This will allow researchers to have evidence of their contribution to grant proposal, which will be valuable for CVs and job applications. This initiative was proposed by the ARCS committee at the informal research committee, hosted by the VP research, and attended by representatives from HR (Alison O’Connell), researcher training (Alan Kelly) and ACRC (John Groeger).

Thanks must be extended to VP Research Anita Maguire for agreeing to the proposal and tabling it at the UMT meeting recently.

Regards,

ARCS committee.
