The MSc in Industrial Pharmaceutical Sciences, Operations and Management is a new 1-year  full-time taught masters programme. This unique multi-disciplinary programme covers the technical, quality, regulatory skills required to work in the (bio)pharma industry as well as the management, leadership and transversal skills required in the workplace. The programme was developed by the iEd Hub, with industry for industry ensuring employability is at the core of the curriculum.

The programme consists of an intensive 4-month teaching block on campus in UCC in semester 1, followed by an 8-month industrial placement with part-time delivery of modules. There is a major emphasis on practical, applied learning with students spending significant time in the state of the art (bio)pharma pilot manufacturing facilities in the school of pharmacy, simulation facilities in the Assert centre and the Cork Enterprise Training Board biopharma facility in Carrigaline. Students will receive considerable exposure to industry practices through School of Pharmacy staff with industry experience as well as part-time and guest lecturers from industry.

Students will be exposed to leading management practices covering leadership, business, lean, data and project management through an exciting partnership with CUBS department of Management & Marketing and Business information systems.
