UCC Team Delivers Workshop on Chronic Disease Management at the PPI National Summer School

Members of the UCC Clinical Pharmacy and General Practice PPI Partnership at the UL PPI Summer School

On Friday 27 June 2025, members of the UCC Clinical Pharmacy and General Practice Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) Partnership delivered a workshop at the University of Limerick PPI Summer School. Their session, Starting Together: Reflections on Co-Creating a PPI Partnership in Chronic Disease and Medication Management, shared insights from their collaborative work in health research. 

The session was co-facilitated by Dr Edel Burton (School of Pharmacy,UCC), Dr Elizabeth O'Donnell (Department of General Practice, UCC), PPI contributors Carmel Geoghegan and Orla Duane, and UCC School of Pharmacy students Paulina Bajek and Seán Meskell, who are undertaking summer projects funded by PPI Ignite@UCC and the Health Research Board.

This event marks another step in an ongoing collaboration between researchers, students and members of the public working together to shape research that reflects real-world needs and lived experience.
