UCC Pharmacy Celebrates Recipient of All Ireland Scholarships 2025
The School of Pharmacy is delighted to acknowledge the achievements of first year student, Patrick Harrington-Stack, who has been awarded a prestigious J.P. McManus All Ireland Scholarship for his outstanding Leaving Certificate performance in 2025.
Patrick hails from Castlegregory, Co. Kerry and attended Meán Scoil Nua an Leith Triúigh before joining us here in the School of Pharmacy in September 2025. Patrick is also the recipient of a Quercus Entrance Scholarship from UCC.
The All-Ireland Scholarships were established in 2008 by the J.P. McManus Trust to financially support gifted young students across the island of Ireland to enable them to participate fully in all aspects of university life. Each year, 125 scholarships are awarded across the 32 counties of Ireland. They cover the full duration of the students’ undergraduate studies, including all aspects of their academic financial support. Speaking at the recent awards ceremony, special guest of honour and double Olympic Champion, Kellie Harrington said: “It is a very special occasion for the 2025 winners, their families, and school principals, and they should be very proud of themselves and their accomplishments.”
