Sepsis Expert Shares Life-Saving Knowledge with Pharmacy Students

The School of Pharmacy was delighted to welcome Ms Lorna Quigley, Programme Manager, National Clinical Programme for Sepsis to speak to our 5th-year students about sepsis.

The session delivered on the 23rd and 25th October as part of module PF6400 discussed the epidemiology of sepsis, screening tools and sepsis management. It also highlighted the importance of early recognition of sepsis and patient awareness and the important role that pharmacists can play in the recognition, management and prevention of sepsis.
