School of Pharmacy Student Represents Ireland at International St. Brigid’s Day Celebration in Spain

2nd year Pharmacy student, Éimhear Flannery recently had the honour of representing Ireland at a prestigious music festival in the University of Granada, Spain, celebrating St. Brigid’s Day.
Éimhear was invited to both teach and perform at the event along with other well known artists such as Matt Cranitch, Louise Mulcahy and Caoimhe Flannery sharing Irish musical traditions with an international audience.
Held in the historic city of Granada, the festival featured a series of concerts, workshops and lectures that showcased the depth of Irish culture. Éimhear led masterclasses for Spanish students and fellow musicians, focusing on traditional sean nós songs.
The highlight of the event was the final performance, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Alhambra, where Éimhear took the stage in front of a distinguished audience. Among those in attendance was the Vice Ambassador of Ireland, Mr Joseph Gildea.
