PhD Success for Tanweer Al-Dagamin at School of Pharmacy, UCC
The School of Pharmacy congratulates Tanweer Al-Dagamin, who has successfully defended her PhD thesis titled 'Drug–Silica Systems: The Impact of Drug-Loading Process Parameters on Drug Solid-State and Release.'
Supervised by Professor Abina Crean and Dr Joseph O’Shea, Dr Al-Dagamin’s research provides valuable insight into how silica-based systems can be used to enhance the delivery of medicines with poor water solubility. The work was supported by SSPC, the SFI Research Centre for Pharmaceuticals, whose generous funding made this research possible.
The School extends its thanks to Professor Lidia Tajber and Dr Katie Ryan for serving as examiners, and warmly congratulates Dr Al-Dagamin on this significant achievement.
