Congratulations to Robert Callaghan, a PhD candidate with the School of Pharmacy and the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics at University College Cork, who was honoured with the President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching in the Postgraduate Tutor and Demonstrator category on 4 December 2025.

Robert's approachable and engaging teaching style has made a valuable contribution to the student learning experience.

The Teaching Excellence Awards at UCC are the longest-running initiative of their kind in Ireland, highlighting outstanding teaching across the university.
