Jacinta Walsh, PhD candidate School of Pharmacy, wins 1st prize for ‘Oral Presentation’ at the Irish Society of Gastroenterology Meeting 2019

Congratulations to Jacinta Walsh PhD candidate School of Pharmacy won the 1st prize award for oral presentations at the Irish Society of Gastroenterology Meeting held in Galway on 30-31May 2019.

Jacinta Walsh, PhD candidate at the School of Pharmacy recently won the 1st prize award for oral presentations at the Irish Society of Gastroenterology Meeting (30-31 May 2019).  The title of Jacinta’s talk was "The Impact of a Prebiotic mix, FOS-inulin on Hepatic Drug Metabolising Enzymes".  Jacinta is a PhD scholar in the APC Microbiome Ireland institute, which is funded under an APC Innovation Platform.  Her PhD is supervised by Dr. Brendan Griffin (School of Pharmacy), Dr. Niall Hyland (Dept. of Physiology) and Dr. Ger Clarke (Dept of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioural Science).
