New Research Funding Awards
Three ISS21-affiliated projects have been awarded funding under the Irish Research Council's Advanced Laureate and New Foundations Programmes.

- 'Education First? Lone parents’ lived experience of the challenges and benefits of participating in higher education'. Dr Fiona Dukelow (PI), Dr Margaret Scanlon and Dr Joe Whelan, in partnership with One Family. One-year project funded through the IRC's New Foundations Programme.
- 'SMILE - Sensors for monitoring isolation and loneliness among older people: New pathways for early identification and support'. Professor Eleanor Bantry White (PI) in partnership with ALONE. One-year project funded through the IRC's New Foundations Programme.
- 'Walking Borders, Risk and Belonging: advances in ethno-mimetic research in the making and re-making of three European borders'. Professor Maggie O'Neill (PI) Three-year project funded through the IRC Advanced Laureate Awards programme. Project details to follow.
