Breakthrough that may help sufferers with irritable bowel Syndrome

Rachel Moloney finalist in the recent UCC 'Science For All' competition, which aims to make science accessible, presented her research work 'Understanding the mechanisms underlying abdominal pain',  in the Evening Echo Thursday series  'A Closer look at Science'. 

Rachel is a PhD student working in the Department of Psychiatry under the supervision ofProfessor Ted Dinan and in the Department of Anatomy and Neuroscience under the supervision of Professor John Cryan.
