Lecture Hall

Tiered seating lecture hall with a capacity of 298.

Equipment available:

Desktop PC

Data Projector

Tracking Camera

Eduroam Wi-Fi (requires login with UCC credentials) 

Microphone for use with MS Teams and recording, are connected to the in room PA system and covers the desk area

2 handheld & 1 lapel rechargeable microphones are kept on the lecture desk for your use

 

USB-C connection to projector available for laptops/mobile devices

Replay for the recording of camera, screen capture and document camera

Microsoft Teams for streaming of lecture content

While we are unable to support the use of Zoom it is compatible with all campus rooms

If planning an event, please log it on the UCC Services Portal

For hybrid/online events it is essential to take security precautions:

  • Consider your audience – are minors in attendance? Is sensitive information being shared?
  • Is a risk assessment necessary?
  • Is my Teams/Zoom/Replay session setup appropriately?
  • What moderation do I need in place?
  • Do I need advice? – contact AV team via UCC Services Portal

For lectern & projector

  1. Switch on the computer at the lectern.
  2. Log in to software of choice, Teams, Panopto. Zoom etc.
  3. Switch on the data projector by pressing the Display On button on the Extron system controller on the podium.
  4. Ensure the volume is turned up on the Extron controller.
    • PC Image
      • Turn on Extron controller, PC, and monitor.
      • Push PC button on Extron controller.
    • Laptop Image
      • Use a USB-C cable to connect to laptop – cable will be on the desk.
      • Ipads may require you to bring an adapter.

Your system choices will be the same for Teams, Panopto and Zoom.
