Free Will Month Ireland - A Simple Step for the Future

UCC and Cork University Foundation are pleased to announce that alumni and supporters who are resident in the Republic of Ireland can now avail of a free online will-writing service through FreeWill Ireland. The service allows you to create a simple, legally valid will online at no cost, from the comfort of your own home.

September is Free Will Month in Ireland, making it the perfect time to put plans in place for the future. Writing or updating your will is one of the most important things you can do to ensure your wishes are carried out, your loved ones are looked after, and the causes that have shaped your life are supported into the future.

If your estate or family circumstances are more complex, we recommend consulting a solicitor to ensure your will reflects your individual needs.

Once you have taken care of your family and friends, you may wish to consider leaving a gift in your will to Cork University Foundation for the benefit of UCC. A legacy gift of any amount can have a lasting impact by supporting future generations of students, pioneering research, and initiatives that help UCC continue to thrive.

There is absolutely no obligation to include a charitable gift when using the service. Many alumni choose to leave a legacy as a way of recognising the role UCC has played in their lives and to make an impact on an area at the university that made an impact on them.
