Dr. Elizabeth Gilchrist
Biography
Liz Gilchrist is a Lecturer in Analytical Chemistry. She received a B.Sc. (1st Hons) in Chemistry from University of Liverpool in 2009, before her M.Sc. in Forensic Science from King’s College London. She remained at KCL for her Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry specialising in the analysis of trace, low-order inorganic explosive residues using ion chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry. She completed her first postdoctoral position at KCL before moving to UCC in 2015, and was appointed a lectureship in 2017. Her interests lie in the development and application of separation techniques to the fields of forensic and environmental science.
